NAVER Tea Set
The NAVER Tea Set project—developed when the company was known as NHN—began with the intention of offering NAVER employees and visitors a moment of calm amid their busy work routines. The project focused on introducing tea products and a tea-drinking culture that could be comfortably enjoyed within the office environment. By reinterpreting traditional Korean tea culture through a contemporary lens, the project resulted in a branded tea set designed as both a NAVER identity product and a VIP gift.
Centered around NAVER’s core value, Connect, the tea set embodies a thoughtfully crafted culture of healthy rest and meaningful connection—linking people to one another, and work to moments of pause. In collaboration with an emerging ceramic designer at the time, the teapot and teacups were custom-designed and paired with a herbal tea bag set, forming a cohesive and refined package. The design focused on clean forms and restrained colors to create practical tableware that could be used effortlessly in everyday life. The packaging, composed of grid-patterned paper, traditional wrapping cloth (bojagi), and string, reinterprets traditional materials in a modern way, expressing a sense of quiet luxury and refined craftsmanship through a deep, understated tone.
